Just echoing the sentiments of my previous post, bless you if you were following me back then. 🙂 I’m using a Pilot Parallel Pen in most of these, also a Manuscript Italic Fountain Pen for the Harry Potter one, and a big Coptic marker for Adidas. I’d really classify these as playful and fun exercises, calligraphy and lettering can be very relaxing when it’s recreational and there’s no deadline. #calligraphy #lettering #seblester #logos

There’s a sad anecdote I heard as a student about his later life, his work falling out of fashion, rejection from type foundries, and an untimely end. This is my new bookplate, a bookplate being a label you put on the inside cover of your books to denote ownership. I didn’t want anything too flashy. Just something simple and graphic that shows I absolutely love calligraphy, lettering and heraldry. Job done, I think? Via @heraldicbeast #ExLibris

A little update on this Heraldry-inspired playing card project. ‘Transcendent’ is a luxury playing card deck based on the Transcendentals, the fundamental, universal properties of being that hark back to antiquity. The project reimagines the four suits as noble houses. Each family, Bellrose (Hearts - Goodness), Clarion (Clubs - Truth), Aureline (Diamonds - Beauty), and Nocturne (Spades - Evil), draw from the English Heraldic tradition.
