We are more than happy to announce our newest partnership- 613 Underground x BistroFest 2026! Our partnership will be ongoing over the course of 5 months and 2 seasons! We will be DEBUTING the 613 UG premiere merch collection along with selling April issues and a limited number of March issues at BistroFest this Saturday, May 16 @hogsbackgrill 6 PM-9 PM!

BistroFest is a nonprofit concert series run through Ottawa Park Arts whose mission is to keep live music FREE and LOCAL- aligning with our values and goals @613underground to promote and grow the Ottawa Arts and Music scene and foster inclusive, accessible, welcoming, fun, positive, and community-oriented music experiences!

BistroFest will be held at Hog’s Back Grill & Bistro every other Saturday from May 16 to September 5 with headliner @aurorasreefofficial and performances from @rootynaky and @mikhail.laxton on opening night!

Meet the bands! May 16 // BistroFest 2026

We are so lucky to have such a powerful music community in Ottawa, and it’s our greatest pleasure to showcase the local talent that so often goes unnoticed.

BistroFest is your one-stop to discovering what’s brewing around the Ottawa region!

You know that feeling when you hear a band live and can’t help but think, why haven’t I heard them before?
Well, we’ve got a whole summer full of that!

I want to take a moment to present the first lineup for May 16, 6PM to 9PM, at the Hog's Back Grill & Bistro:

Aurora’s Reef (1st pic)
A six-piece reggae collective blending roots reggae, ska, and rocksteady into a vibrant, uplifting sound.

I first saw them busking in the ByWard Market and immediately knew I wanted to hear them again. Having them headline our very first day of BistroFest is really coming full circle and I'm so excited for you guys to hear them!

Reggae, neo-soul, afrobeats, and African rhythms all come together into something deeply groovy and full of life.

This will be my first time hearing them live and they were recommended with serious praise. Expect this to be a groovy evening!

Mikhail Laxton (3rd pic)
Soulful, raw, and grounded in that “first take” energy. Capital Music Award nominee and performing at Bluesfest this year.

Imagine having him as the first act of the show! Gives you an idea of the type of lineups we've got going for us this year!

And this is just the first of amazing lineups.

New lineup announced every Friday leading up to May 16.
