“I’m proud to be an ambassador for Re:wild and help with their amazing efforts to preserve what matters most: the Earth and all species living on it!” -Miles Robinson.

⚽️ Welcome @_milesrobinson_ as an official @rewild ambassador. He is a U.S. Men’s National Team defender and one of Major League Soccer’s premier center backs, currently playing for @fccincinnati. 🦁

For Miles, the connection between sport and nature is personal. Soccer is a game built on open fields, fresh air, and communities gathering outdoors — and those spaces are increasingly threatened by climate change and biodiversity loss. Nature is the ultimate home field, and protecting it means protecting the places where athletes train, compete, and inspire future generations. Miles’ deep care for the environment and passion for conservation make him a powerful voice for the wild both on and off the pitch.

🟢 Re:wild is grateful for passionate individuals like Miles who are ready, willing, and eager to use their platforms to help tell some of the most important wild stories of our time. 🌏 Together, we are making a difference in protecting and restoring the wild.

🐺 It’s #EndangeredSpeciesDay, so naturally we’re honoring the five decades of care, science, policy, and persistence that made recovery possible under the U.S. Endangered Species Act.

From near-extinction to the path of recovery: every species in this carousel is still here because people like you care a whole lot. Restoring habitat, enforcing protections, and conservation is a long-term commitment, not a short-term promise.

Not every species featured here has fully recovered or has even been delisted, and many still depend on the Endangered Species Act today, proof that this work is far from over, but critical not only to these individual species but to the ecosystems that depend on them.

🌎 We stand with the scientists, land stewards, and frontline defenders who continue this work every day...often quietly and under immense pressure, but always with care for the living world.

For over a millennia, the Blackfoot People lived along side the American Bison until both were forcibly displaced over a century ago.

Bison were hunted to near extinction by the U.S. government as a method to starve and control Plains Tribes like the Blackfoot who were being forced off their lands and onto reservations.

Bring Them Home follows a small group of Blackfoot who are working to right these historic wrongs by returning wild American Bison to their lands – an act that would heal people, re-enliven traditional culture and bring economic opportunity to their community.

This film charts the course of this struggle from past to present – from the near-annihilation of American Bison and the Blackfoot People to the origins of the effort to restore wild American Bison and the present-day threats to Blackfoot culture.

It closely follows the Tribal members who have given their lives and hearts to this struggle for the betterment of their people and is an intimate look at the willpower and resilience it takes to survive and thrive in the face of near-continuous hostility.

🌊 Saving Chile’s vital kelp forests 🐙 Re:wild partner @rewildingchile, an offspring organization of @tompkins_conservation, is leading a megatransect survey in one of the largest intact kelp forests on the planet.

Across 6 expeditions, the Rewilding Chile team will travel over 700 miles (1,200 kilometers) to study and protect Patagonia’s kelp forests. This marine ecosystem is home to hundreds of species and is known to be one of the most efficient natural carbon sinks on Earth.

🌿The forests of Giant Kelp can reach up to 262 feet (80 meters).
🌿They are able to absorb up to 20x the amount of carbon as forests on land.
🌿They create biodiversity-rich environments and provide essential carbon to the entire food web.

🦬 “If there’s no environment, there’s no human race,” said Ted Turner, one of the planet’s boldest conservationists. His remarkable life and conservation legacy live on in the landscapes he helped restore and the species his work protected. 🌾

From helping protect millions of acres of grasslands across North America to restoring American Bison herds and championing environmental action on a global stage, his vision helped bring conservation into the mainstream and inspired generations to think bigger about what’s possible. 🌎

Today we reflect on Ted Turner’s philanthropy, storytelling, and relentless belief in bold action. He helped drive meaningful conservation progress that will benefit people, wildlife, and ecosystems for generations to come.

🐺 The wild is wilder because of Ted!

They carry forests in their stomachs. 🌿
They move across borders that divide their habitat.
They’ve been keeping ecosystems connected for millions of years.
Baird’s Tapirs are more than a species—they’re a force for regeneration.
This World Tapir Day, we’re celebrating the work of @BairdsTapir, a powerful network of partners across Mesoamerica working together to protect tapirs and the forests they sustain.
Re:wild is proud to support this collaboration.
