Oldies but goldies - Looking back at our proposal for a permanent location for the #winter #Olympics

Located in #Tarvisio, between the borders of #Italy, #Austria and #Slovenia it would encompass the Olympic values beyond the ones of a single nationality

Its venues raise from and complete the topography of the valley becoming effectively man-made natural elements when not in use

The rhythm of the staggered-timber-structure ofthe roof is legible inside the building, where the large triangles are connected with steel cables

The sides of the building are inclined, built up on the image of an abstract alpine chalet.
Doors and windows are carved out, revealing the depth of the facade.
