Which is why we’re hosting Forward Fest! A multiday festival of art, culture, and movement to bring people together and raise funds for Long Beach Forward’s year-round work.Get tickets to a Forward Fest event and have fun while supporting community organizing!

*$260 of $393 raised. Jasper still needs $133.* We sadly need to reschedule because Jasper is sick. We will need to reschedule for June 27 from 1-3pm. Those who already donated will have access to the rescheduled session in person and virtually. Please DM if you have questions.

Jasper was already in need of mutual aid and now it has become urgent. Due to these circumstances, Jasper will receive 100% of the funds we’ve raised so far and we encourage folks that are financially stable to donate to them. They need $80 to cover the rest of their rent and an additional $313 for bills. Total is $393. So far, through paid RSVPs, we’ve raised $85. Jasper needs $308 more to meet their needs.

Our pop-up gallery, Reimagining Connection, at @movelbforward is coming to a close on June 6, and we warmly invite you to join us for our closing ceremony from 12pm to 3pm. Just like our opening night, we’ll have artist tables, community org tables, delicious food, and music.

If you’re part of a community organization in Long Beach, we would love to hear from you and invite you to participate by reserving a table at this gathering. Grassroots groups are especially encouraged and centered.

Additionally, in collaboration with @longbeachswaps, we’re also hosting a gender-affirming clothing swap. We’re collecting clothes to help ensure you feel confident and authentic in your own skin. Please send @queerscoutslb a DM if you’d like to donate. We’ll be accepting clothing donations in the coming weeks, and please keep in mind that there is a limit to the number of items we can take on the day of the event.

Please note that we are not accepting used undergarments, with the exception of like-new, lightly used binders and bras. If you have a lot of clothing you’d like to donate, reaching out in advance will help us accommodate everyone.

As a part of caring for our community, masks are required and will be provided if needed. We require high-filtration masks such as kf94, kn95, or n95. Air purifiers will be provided courtesy of @movelbfoward

Things have felt heavy in the heart lately, so I'm very much looking forward to returning to my body and breath and rhythm this Wednesday with y'all 🩷

If you're looking to show your body gratitude and love and practice taking up space unapologetically, check out Beyond Burlesque- an intro level class where we explore elements of burlesque and performance to unravel shame around sensual self expression.

Whether you are new to dance, wanting to deepen your practice, or try something different, this class is open to all bodies, genders/expressions, and skill levels.

We kindly ask for a sliding scale donation of $5-15, but please know that no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Kindly RSVP through the link in bio or the QR code in the second slide so we can prepare to welcome everyone with care.

Half of the proceeds will support @withlove_fromjasper with essential post-top surgery support, and the rest will help sustain our future sessions.

We will have some paper and charcoal pencils available, but we encourage those who can bring their own supplies to do so.

For those unable to attend in person, @withlove_fromjasper is offering a virtual participation option. We’re excited to bring live streaming back! Please contact Jasper if you’d like to help make your gatherings more inclusive by adding a virtual option.
