Seeing one of my favorite bands at one of my favorite music venues was just the cathartic experience I needed. @thepaperkites have such a unique musical presence and a sound that engulfs you with warmth and resonance. Perfect for that magical space. Thank you @thepaperkites and @stgpresents

What a fun and inspiring evening thanks to the @westernwashingtonuniversity alumni association. They had an engaging artist talk with former Western alumni Dan Erickson (@instadan360) the creator and head writer of my favorite TV show Severance 🙌(@severancetvapple) I learned that the original concept formed out of a play he wrote while at Western, and that that his short lived former career working at a door store inspired the original idea of how one might get paid for a job but have no actual memory of doing the mind numbing work. That gave the Dylan door store interview scene in season 2 episode 2 a whole new meaning. The alumni association also presented awards to Dan and several other impressive alumni, and I had a chance to meet Dan and embarrass myself by letting him knowhow huge a fan I was. He was totally gracious and down to earth. I also got to hang with a really cool Severance aficionado who had some interesting insider news about the show. What a fun night in my old stomping grounds. 💙🤍

This is my front porch! I had lots of cool interactions today at Sea Tac Airport while performing. A Mom and her young daughter started spontaneously dancing, I met two other buskers, one bagpipe busker and a guitar player from Lewis County. I also met an artist who sketched me while I was playing! So cool. #grateful 🙏❤️

Tomorrow from 2-6pm - One last show at the Old Fire House before the building is taken down. Help us celebrate 33 1/3 years of All Ages shows and teen programs. The OFH was always a place where young people could feel safe, know they belong and discover ways to create really cool things in a supportive environment. Every city needs an OFH but not many have them. Join us for a party in the streets!Poster by Matt Matsuoka!

SAVE THE DATE! - On Saturday, April 4th the City of Redmond will be celebrating 33 and 1/3 years of the legendary all ages venue and teen center, the Old Fire House with a party in the streets. They are closing down NE 79th street in front of the OFH from 2-6 pm for a final show before the building gets demolished and a new teen center gets built. With Suzzallo, Fight Milk, Tomo Nakayama, Mae Amber and the return of Matt Matsuoka (10:07, Red Rocket,The Hit) to the stage after more than 20 years! I started playing with Matt, Griff and Jason in a newly reformed version of The Hit a few months ago on second guitar and it’s been so fun to play these classic songs with these guys. We’ll be playing first at 2 pm! You will not want to miss this! I hope to see you there. 🙌#OFH #OldFireHouse #AllAges 📸: taken from Dave Larson’s Nobody’s Nose podcast page - you should check it out!
