if your waves feel limp, frizzy, dry or coated no matter what you do… these are the ingredients worth paying attention to:

➰ sulfates (like SLS/Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) > can strip too much natural moisture from wavy hair, leaving it dry and fluffy.

➰ drying alcohols > ingredients like Alcohol Denat or Isopropyl Alcohol can dehydrate the hair cuticle and increase frizz.

➰heavy silicones > some non-water-soluble silicones can build up on waves over time, making hair feel weighed down or harder to hydrate properly.

➰ excess synthetic fragrance > can sometimes irritate sensitive scalps or contribute to dryness.

➰ mineral oil & heavy waxes > can coat the hair instead of nourishing it — especially difficult for finer waves.
