“Quick Strike”

When @dashawnjordan sent me his sneaker, I immediately knew I wanted to focus on one dope photo rather than the same detailed sneaker shots I’ve seen over and over. I wanted to keep the diamondback theme going and decided to make the SB look like a striking snake with the laces acting as the fangs.

S/O @monyetodaaa for throwing the laces up over and over and OVER again until I got the shot lol

Dashawn’s SB is available the 14th only @facesskateshop & drops to the public March 17th - DONT MISS OUT ON THE DUNK OF THE YEAR!

Now that I’m somewhat settled in my new Weehawken apartment (still no Wi-Fi until tomorrow) and I begin this new chapter back East…

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to anyone who had anything to do with my little success over almost five years in Los Angeles.

Growing up, I was as Northeast as it gets and never once contemplated moving to California—let alone Los Angeles. But five years later, it’s been the absolute best decision I’ve ever made. I moved to LA with no idea if anything would work out, and somehow, in the first few weeks, everything did… it all worked out—even better than I could’ve imagined.

Shit, not only did things pop off for me, I got to watch Monica turn into the beast I always knew she was in her career. She had dope moments—like A$AP Rocky randomly bumping into her and blowing up her business, which at the time was just for her and her friends. That moment turned into celebs like SGA & Rihanna hitting her up for custom chains and GQ writing about Monigotchii. That shit just doesn’t happen to everyone! Mix that with everything else, and wow… we got fucking lucky.

Not only did our careers flourish, but we both found ourselves, became better people, better friends, and a way stronger couple—which means more to me than any career milestone.

I learned a lot about freelancing in Los Angeles. You’ll meet and work with some of the best people in your life—but you’ll also deal with some dirty shit, like record executives hiring you for gigs, never paying, and then playing victim when you try to handle the situation… but it’s all part of the game lol.

I’ve been in my writing bag HEAVY lately, and my main goal right now is to create/direct TV shows. Shoutout to my boy Jayden for getting me out the crib every Friday to link in K-Town and getting these dope ass ideas onto paper over some chai lattes lol.

Nonetheless, NYC inspires me like no other city, so I pray the ideas keep flowing for these shows, I continue to write some amazing shit that one day gets picked up — oh and follow it up with beautiful photography of course.

Here are some of my favorite photos from my time in LA (Camera roll edition—looking through the Dropbox would’ve taken ages.)
