It’s important to JCOD to get input from the communities we seek to serve. It was great to collaborate with the LGBTQ Center of Long Beach to host a public convening about our upcoming brick and mortar JCOD DOORS Long Beach location.

The JCOD DOORS centers in South LA and Antelope Valley have been critically important to those communities, and we want to provide that same level of support in Long Beach as well.

Big moves happening at Dirtbags Academy. 💯

Our student Ramces is taking the skills he learned in two of our programs — Detailing and Printing & Design — and turning them into something real for his future. Seeing him create his first company shirts alongside his daughter is exactly what this is all about. Family, growth, and building something from the ground up.

This is only the beginning of his journey, and we’re proud to watch him take that next step toward becoming a business owner and creating opportunities for himself and his family. 👏

#FBF to Second Chance Month with a look at all the events JCOD participated in. That’s 11 events across all 5 Supervisorial Districts. Huge thank you to all our partners for your work in organizing and facilitating these events with us.

The primary election is right around the corner on June 2nd, but the deadline to register is MONDAY, 5/18.

Being justice-impacted does not mean you lose your right to vote. Those in jail, those on parole and those on probation are all eligible.
