Recording this Christmas Album has been one of the most healing things I’ve done. Reconnecting with my first love, music, has healed parts of me that I didn’t even know could still be gotten to. Here’s verse 1 of my song Home For The Holiday. I hope y’all fall as in love with this song as I have and I’d be honored if any of yall used this sound to share your memories as you head home for the holidays.

Did we make the right choice releasing this one as an uptempo vs the ballad? I’ve always thought the best way to know if a song you’ve written is good or not is if it also works as a ballad. I think there’s something so beautiful l about this one when it’s broken down like this. It makes it much more romantic. Which is the whole point of it. Christmas is exciting but it’s also romantic when you have the right person by you’re sjde. For so long I didn’t get that…then….well you know the story…enter Jonathan, and here we are. I’m very proud of what @markvogelmusic and I created with “It’s Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas.” A quintessentially Christmas song that makes you want to dance but is also, at its heart, a love song.
