After a long weekend of constant events, I want to finally take a moment to dedicate a few words to my doggy. When @jenniferaniston met Mocha on the set of The Morning Show, she called her a queen. I was genuinely impressed by Ms Aniston’s intuition. She could recognize royalty in a friendly, furry package. Mocha, was in fact, a Queen. She ruled our home with love with more than a decade. Mochas declarations were simple. One must pet her belly upon entering or she’d bark at you. She could not have less than 1 whole cookie at a time, or she would simply refuse your offers. Her food had to be sprinkled with Parmesan cheese or she would not eat it. Very simple declarations that kept us motivated to keep her satisfied. Beyond everything, she was a loving dog who would interrupt anything she perceived as an argument by barking until you stopped. She really knew how to keep the peace.

Mocha passed away on Saturday morning. I only just returned home last night to feel the emptiness she left behind. No more taps on the floor on her way to greet me after a long day, no more stepping over her while she lay on her usual spot in the middle of the floor. Yet, with deep loss comes great appreciation for the love we are blessed to feel from our furry friends.

Good girl, Mocha. I’ll never forget you. 🕊️❤️
