Making Tigueronas in 6 months, getting City of Dreamz on AMC+, doing dope panels/screenings, getting in my acting bag as an acting coach on set (ty @drewadventures) and acting in my girl’s beautiful play (@victoriarlino). There’s so many other ppl to thank but loved working with so many incredible creatives. But burn out was mad real so had to be MIA while dealing with health stuff and spinal tap headaches with a full time job. We good but get them optic nerves checked lol. But so much happened I spent quality time with my friends & family, travelled, met new ppl. And I’m excited for what’s to come. I’m still catching up on messages, trying to show more of my craft, and working on new projects and being more social. So appreciate yall patience love yall 🤎

Today New Years is the last day of Kwanzaa, Imani (Faith).
For 2022 Black Highway Birthright Alum Imani Fuentes, that faith showed up in unexpected ways in Ghana 🇬🇭through familiar food, shared culture, and the warmth she felt that reminded her of home in Dominican Republic.🇩🇴

As the first in her lineage to return to Africa 🌍, her experience is a powerful reminder of how connection, memory, and belonging can travel across generations.

As we close out Kwanzaa and step into the new year, we carry that faith forward.

Following #NewFest Pride, in June 2025 we collaborated with @amcplus’ Future of Film to curate a selection of short films that elevate LGBTQIA+ voices across a variety of experiences and genres. Six short films streamed exclusively on AMC+ in celebration of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month to spotlight stories and filmmakers across the US and Canada.

Two of the filmmakers, @sohrob and @imani_celeste, joined us for a private Q&A in Manhattan with members of the AMC+ team to share their experiences creating their work. Being both of their first times making a narrative short, “Hot Seat” and @city.of.dreamz are brilliant examples of what happens when you don’t give up and you work with and love on your community ❤️
