After a fantastic night at @communeliverpool on Friday, it’s time to start the rollout of artist announcements for our gig with one-man screamo legend @com_muted headlining @lostartlive next month
Kicking things off is @iihatexavier who played with @videocults at his last set with us. This one is a solo performance so expect even more raging industrial rap beats and punk riffs.
“Xavier is a multidimensional artist whose shows can be described as unpredictable and raw. The energy he portrays can be traced back to the hardcore punk routes of 1980s LA, with bands such as the Germs and Darby Crash being labelled as a main influence to his stage presence. While going from a noisy, erratic sound his music can shift into an energetic outburst leaving the audience with no expectation to what’s coming next. One minute you’re in a moshpit with limbs flying through the crowd, and the next you’re at the club with your best friends like there’s no tomorrow.”

Featuring one-man screamo legend @com_muted this will be a night where trans and queer individuals and allies alike are invited to release their ids, exorcise demons and come together in collective catharsis. I.e there will be a lot of crowd interaction and screaming.

Blending industrial grooves with harsh noise & lush ambience, the love child of Nine Inch Nails & Scissor Sisters. Ruby Roadkill's theatrics evoke that of Bowie's darker moments, tinged with the aesthetics of kink & BDSM. Videocults brings an electroclash edge to the band on CDJs, whilst Georgio Onearmani's polyrhythms & [REDACTED]'s evil sounds bleed into textures both familiar & alien. Through this, Roadkill waxes poetic about love, hate, fear, pride, tackling themes of addiction & the death of western civilisation! 🔥☠️

Transmission presents a night of trans-centred left-field electronics and alternative music.
Funded by the Liverpool Grassroots Music Venues Support Programme, this is part of Fresh Shoots Festival at @communeliverpool showcasing a wide range of local grassroots promoters with their own unique events.
Headlined by the scandalous queercore band @deadanimalsofficial, support from lynchian theatrical @domesticpartnersband, as well as VCX (@videocults x @iihatexavier).

I can’t believe my album is finally out.
I’ve worked on this project for 2 long years and it’s been such a journey. The endless different versions and eras it’s been through, all the trials and tribulations I’ve been through with the creative process. It feels so surreal for this album to actually finally see the light of day.
I want to say a huge thank you to my partner in crime @videocults you have listened to every demo, every beat, every little voice note of an idea, all the scrapped songs and throwaways and all the times I’ve complained about a mix not being right. Thank you for being right by my side every step of the way. I love you so much.
I want to say another huge thank you to @yungwarl0ck you have watched this project brew and evolve behind the scenes over the past 2 years, and even creating one of the early graphics for it. Thank you for bringing me into Twisted Circus and pushing me to keep creating even when I’ve felt like giving up. I love you wizard man.
I also want to say a big thank you to @robbo_nathan and @cyanide._.ghost for helping me create and shoot the album cover art. I had so much fun with you two cutting up newspapers for 6 hours and doodling whatever came to our minds. This cover art wouldn’t have been what it is without you two and specifically @robbo_nathan for his incredible camera skills.
My goal with this album was to create a project where it shows off everything that influences me, whilst also reflecting who I am as an artist. I wanted to create something unique that transcends you into another world and something that blends all of the things I’m inspired by into one project. I can’t believe it’s here.
