Desire Path is out today!!! Which also means our new song fwu is yours to enjoy 🫶🏻

There is so much to say about this process, this record and everything we’ve poured into it 🤍 It took a very long time and a lot of struggle to bring this album into the world. We found ourselves unsure of what music we wanted to create and uncertain about our futures in this realm. With little confidence or direction we experimented, discarded and revived ideas until the path forward revealed itself in some small way. This body of work represents a moment in time discovering our identity as a duo and how to make music sustainably in a transitional point of life. It was not easy, but the journey has been rewarding and illuminating in its own way.

We want to start by thanking our community, team and collaborators - it truly takes a village to bring a project together. We are so lucky to be surrounded by so many talented and passionate people bringing this vision to life. Special shoutout to our incredible manager @goodmannersmusic for supporting, coaching and guiding us through this process as well as @cedrictang_ for shooting the album artworks and @bradleypinkerton for the graphic design 🤍

This beautiful music video for fwu is a testimony to all the amazing creatives we are privileged to work with. Our wonderful director and bestie @jhaz_bw took this project on last minute and poured her entire soul into it. There is no one we could trust more with such a personal and special song - this is her vision and heart in a video.

Love =/= entanglement. I wrote this song about emotional enmeshment & learning to have boundaries with people you love ☁️
I think ironically it’s hardest to say no to someone you’re close to?? But it’s okay to put yourself first and protect your peace.

With everything happening in the world atm I think it takes on a new meaning where I’m like ok this feels like surrender to chaos while maintaining some semblance of autonomy within the noise. It’s okay to intake information and it’s also to take breaks and do what you need to do to keep moving forward. We need to retain hope of building a better world and so we must keep our heads above water.
