I didn't know about this line until 6 weeks ago, when Anne and I were shortly living in an airbnb a few kilometers from the bloc. 'No kpote only 9A' was the name, I had to see it and found out that the top of the boulder (the stand start) was a wicked 7C+.

As soon as the weather was nice I walked there and surprisingly quickly found myself ready to give the 7c+ a send burn. Then it started pouring down... ☔

I escaped under the big roof, realized that the bloc was now unclimbable, and waited until I could walk home.

I had initially seen that there was a 8A+ low version, but quickly gave up on that idea when I saw the heinous start crimps, big shoulder move, the intense heel hook and crossover move. But now everything was completely wet, except these specific holds. It was the only option for more climbing that day - so might as well try them.

I didn't do any of the moves on the low start the first session, but was able to establish myself on all the positions, which was actually a surprise.

I came back for the stand start, had an amazing session were I did the stand and two of the moves of the low. It could actually be a possibility!

3 sessions later, 5 in total, a perfect weather-day and super psyched, this happened! First of the grade in Fontainebleu and a bunch of wicked sessions!

Finally managed my crimp project! After numerous sessions and beta changes, I stuck to one method two sessions ago, only to tweak it again today. But it paid off—I made it! Last burn of the day and definitely needed that shirtless +5%. Feeling ecstatic after around 8 sessions... Huge thanks to everyone who helped with psycheee! My fingers feel good now too, and that feels good!!

Furtif (Droite) • 8A ✔

Whaaaaaat!!! Three amazing things happened yesterday😍 Firstly, I had a fantastic dry day in the forest with lovely people! This will be one of my last sessions in Bleau for now, as I'm selling my car tomorrow.

Secondly, I freaking sent Furtif (Droite). This project has taken me six sessions. It's an amazing bloc with incredible moves, and honestly, it’s so fun to climb on. It felt harder than 8A, maybe because there are a few too many moves for my endurance, who knows. Such a great feeling to finish this climb just before leaving Bleau! Wow.

Lastly, but not least, I sent another 8A in the morning.

Mongolito • 8A ✔

I’ve never done two 8As in one day before. That always felt a bit out of reach. After sending Mongolito pretty quickly in the morning, I was hoping to get a chance at Furtif, which I initially regarded as an unsuccessful closed project. I didn't think I’d have the time to come back to it.

Tried this line the other day in humid, greasy conditions, and it felt way harder than 7A. Fast forward to today: cooler temps, dry rock, and suddenly, it was a whole different climb which resulted in day-flash!

I’ve wanted to try this line since the first time I saw it many years ago. It just looked like something that would fit me and that i would enjoy. It was, and I did!!!!!

On the way back from Västervik we hadn’t planned to stop, it had rained, and we thought everything would be wet. But when I saw the Järnforsen sign on the highway, I had to pull off and check it out. Just to look, not climb.

To my surprise, the roof was dry, and only the top was wet. I warmed up, flashed the stand, and felt confident. With two pads and @anne_gaedt spotting, I did the full line in five tries. Super quick process.

So stoked to climb it! Very happy 😁😁😍😍🙉🙉
