I’m asking this question because I genuinely don’t have an answer. I’ve posted multiple incidents of Palestinian villagers in the West Bank being beaten with sticks by Israeli settlers who are terrorising them. Largely elderly Palestinians and they have been viewed thousands of times on my feed. I posted this yesterday and it’s had 326 views. No one has ever commented on the violent beating or murder of Palestinians but a dog?..I’ve had 12 people reach out to say how much they are disgusted. Is that how far Palestinians have been casually dehumanised in our eyes?!? Has the Israeli hasbara of “there is no such thing as an innocent Palestinian” been that successful?! Do we just feel more empathy for a defenceless dog than a defenceless human?! Holy fuck.
