A solo show inspired by a novela titled “Mujer, Cazos de la Vida Real” which my abuelita used to watch. Funded in part by @elpasomcad and @elpasomuseumofart, this series is getting a bit closer to whatever goes on between Martin, Blast, and myself. I would love for all y’all to come check it out.

It took a great amount of time, resources, funds and energy to establish @borderlandjam - every year we clean and maintain our walls to continue hosting the event. A lot of talk about "inclusivity" has been on for quite sometime about how we only let certain folk paint at our spots. What you may not hear about as often is these 👆🏽 touch ups we have to keep executing in order to keep the jam clean. We don't want to risk the jam walls just because y'all don't wanna bomb the city. Respect us and we reciprocate. The inverse also applies...

Happening this Friday - 11-7-25 @elpasoframeco hope to see y'all there.

This hands-on workshop will serve to instruct participants interested in learning how to use spray paint in which we will go over the uses, limits, and applications of spray paint and the medium’s utilization from paintings, murals, to graffiti. Participants will also be able to collectively learn the hands-on method of spray paint canister usage. This workshop was created to help all attending individuals and levels from first-time participants to seasoned artists.
 
Blast, the first in his family to be born in the United States, grew up in El Paso under the care of his hardworking single mother. His early interest in graffiti developed into a passion, and later, his time at the University of Texas at El Paso helped refine his artistic methods. Merging graffiti elements with fine art, Blast has collaborated on numerous projects and shared his expertise with local artists, leading many to adopt spray paint as another medium for their artwork.
