Am 25. Oktober wird die Künstlerschallplatte „Jimmy Robert: Call and Response“ mit einem Listening Event bei After in Berlin präsentiert. Eingeführt wird die Listening Session von Jimmy Robert, der Kuratorin Nadja Quante (Künstlerhaus Bremen) und dem Plattenlabel-Betreiber Volker Zander (Apparent Extent).
Die im Anschluss an die Ausstellung „la musique de la chambre“ (2022) im Künstlerhaus Bremen konzipierte Künstlerplatte
„Call and Response“ versammelt elf Klangstücke, die im Zusammenhang mit Jimmy Roberts Performances und Ausstellungen entstanden sind. Sie wurden in Zusammenarbeit mit Soundkünstlerin und DJ Ain Bailey, der Choreografin Jane Ellison, den Künstlerinnen Rosa Barba und Emma Hedditch und der Sängerin Ina Hagenau produziert.

On October 25, the artist record “Jimmy Robert: Call and Response" will be presented with a listening event at After in Berlin. The listening session will be introduced by Jimmy Robert, curator Nadja Quante (Künstlerhaus Bremen) and record label operator Volker Zander (Apparent Extent).
The artist record was conceived following the exhibition “la musique de la chambre”, which took place at Künstlerhaus Bremen in 2022. “Call and Response” brings together eleven sound pieces created in the context of Jimmy Robert's performances and exhibitions. They were produced in collaboration with sound artist and DJ Ain Bailey, choreographer Jane Ellison, artists Rosa Barba and Emma Hedditch and singer Ina Hagenau.

Das Künstlerhaus Bremen, Apparent Extent und Bierke freuen sich, die Veröffentlichung des neuen Künstleralbums von Jimmy Robert bekannt zu geben, das an diesem Wochenende bei Bierke auf der Miss Read im HKW in Berlin erhältlich sein wird.
„Call and Response“ versammelt elf Klangstücke, die im Zusammenhang mit Jimmy Roberts Performances und Ausstellungen produziert wurden. Sie entstanden unter anderem in Zusammenarbeit mit der Klangkünstlerin und DJ Ain Bailey, der Choreografin Jane Ellison und den Künstler:innen Rosa Barba und Emma Hedditch. Die Platte wird durch ein Booklet mit einer Einführung von Nadja und einem Essay von Mason Leaver-Yap ergänzt und wurde von dem Londoner Studio Wolfe Hall gestaltet.

„Call and Response“ brings together eleven sound pieces created in the context of Jimmy Robert's performances and exhibitions. They were produced in collaboration with sound artist and DJ Ain Bailey, choreographer Jane Ellison, and artists Rosa Barba and Emma Hedditch, among others. The record is complemented by a booklet with an introduction by Nadja Quante and an essay by Mason Leaver-Yap and was beautifully designed by the London studio Wolfe Hall.
It will be launched on October 25th in Berlin. Save the date!
