Accessibility is more than a checklist.
Join @aafseattle for From Compliance to Culture — a conversation about what happens when organizations move beyond minimum requirements and start building accessibility into the way they communicate, create, hire, lead, and design experiences.
As part of our annual June DEIB event series, this year’s focus is accessibility and the role it plays in creating more inclusive communities, workplaces, and creative work.
We’ll explore:
• ADA & WCAG basics
• Where compliance falls short
• Accessibility across digital, physical, and workplace experiences
• How accessibility becomes part of culture, not just policy
Featuring speakers working across accessibility, public communications, inclusive workplaces, and digital experience design.

The future of Seattle creative is hungry to learn — and they’re asking the right questions.
AAF Seattle’s Advertising Education Director @darthvander, had the chance to speak with students at @creative_academy about networking, building relationships, navigating the industry, and what it really takes to break into advertising and design today.
Big takeaway? Students don’t want gatekeeping. They want connection, feedback, mentorship, and community.
If you’re an industry vet, creative leader, or working professional: your experience matters more than you think. A little bit of your time can have a huge impact on the next generation.
Huge thanks to Lori Peck and the SCCA team for the invitation and conversation.
Join us, and be part of the @aafseattle team as we continue creating opportunities for students and creatives across our community.
We were so busy meeting creatives, admiring awesome work on display and listening to the inspiring presentations that we barely remembered to collect evidence that we were there. Here is just a very small bite of everything we saw and enjoyed!
Such a joy to be able to support this event by @creativeworks. Thank you for bringing together so much talent and inspiration to Seattle.
If you missed Creative Works West 2026, you missed out!
We hope to see you there next year!
