Four months to the day, here it is. I was debating posting this for quite some time. Mainly out of embarrassment, feeling I should have rode away from this. But hey, it happened, not a thing I can do besides learn from it. I remember what I did wrong and unfortunately I couldn’t recover and this was the result of that. Watch close my shoe almost takes out Tony.

I’ve really thought about riding a lot these past months and what it means to me and if it’s worth it. I do plan to get back on the bike eventually when I’m strong enough to, but this is probably the last time you’ll see me “go big”. I don’t like speaking in absolutes, but at almost 34 I need this body to last some more years.

Appreciation post: I cannot even begin to describe how thankful I am to have Abbs. She has been absolutely amazing and has done so much for us these past two months. It’s embarrassing to say but from helping me to the restroom, the smallest movements, helping bathe me, she’s done it all. I couldn’t have made the progress I have in this recovery without her and I owe her everything. I love this woman so much and I hope y’all have someone like this in your lives.
