We could all use some extra kindness right now🫶 The Blankets of Hope project was easy to coordinate and so impactful for our students. It’s hard to capture how @boh day feels…

…how it impacts us…
…the emotion involved…
…the stories too sacred to share in this space…

I cry every year. Without fail.

(Sometimes I can hang on until I get home or to the @csmhs4 staff room but other years - like this one 😳- I cry in front of a marvellous group of volunteers who I hope understand the impact they are making spending this time with us… here’s looking at you @whlhurricanes @girlgangyql Your kindness and grace with them AND with me meant the world today…)

Mostly I cry because I am so proud of these kids and the way they and their teachers pour their whole hearts into this project.

But also?

Because I can’t stop thinking about those who will receive these blankets in #yql from @sageclanlethbridge and what these notes might mean to them.

No one deserves to be cold and lonely and feel unseen.

Thank you @themikefio @nickfio @boh for once again choosing us and allowing US to choose kindness, hope and love for our community. 💜
