The Syd is a proper chef apron. Sadly, we’re no chefs, but here’s us trying the chocolate covered Pringles trend. 🤷

We heard “world’s best designed bar” and thought that was a bit of us. We recently paid a visit to @disco_pantera in the CBD by brothers Ross and Gordo for happy hour, namely their killer $13 martini. 🍸

Paired with a few snacks (that bruschetta) and that’s exactly how we like to be sent off into the evening.

A quick pausa with the brilliant @emikodavies, who we were lucky enough to catch while she was back in town from Italy. We met at a place she knows very well, @pastaemilia, having hosted her own events here over the years and got into her favourite cookbooks, the one recipe of hers she wishes everyone would try, and a few other tasty tidbits. 😍

Our Walk the Talk series is back and this time, we caught up with Huw Bennett, founder of @worktones.

Huw’s career in fashion spans years, including co-founding Australian streetwear label Vanishing Elephant. After picking up the odd hospitality gig with the likes of Gelato Messina and Bills, the idea of crafting purpose-built hospitality wear started to take shape. It became something more when Tasmania’s renowned Pumphouse Point asked him to design their staff uniforms. A moment that helped shaped what Worktones is today.

Worktones creates workwear for the detail-obsessed hospitality crowd. Those who know that what their team wears is just as important as the space they serve in. As Huw puts it, if you’re investing in a La Marzocco for your café, Worktones is the kind of considered brand that belongs alongside it.

These days, Worktones is creating uniforms and merch for some of the best in the business, including A.P Bakery, Hector’s Deli, Supreme Coffee, and more.
