1200 acres of native California habitat is under threat to be turned into a parking lot of solar panels.
What’s happening:
They are proposing to cut down as many as 4,787 native oak trees, many of which are older mature oak trees that take decades to grow that large.
It will destroy habitat for numerous local and protected wildlife species.
It will disrupt an important wildlife corridor in an area where there is very little Oak Woodland Grassland habitat remaining.
Follow @sacramentofoodforest, they have been fighting for native California ecosystems, and I’m so thankful for the work they do.

Jacob and I had been dating for about 3 months when our birthdays came around in June last year. I had no idea what “thing” I could get for him, so I made him this painting of him driving his Miata on Piuma road in Malibu, where he had taken us on a drive the week before. ♥️
