The Thesmophoria was an ancient, women-only festival dedicated to Demeter and Persephone. It served as a religious ritual and a social gathering—an enclosed space where women bonded, exchanged knowledge, and maintained collective life. Rooted in agricultural cycles, it traced the connections between fertility, gender, and the sacred, marking the continuity between life, death, and return.

In this event, Thesmophoria is seen not as a reconstruction but as an invocation: a speculative feminist archive unfolding through symbols, gestures, and remains. Drawing attention to what has been buried, fermented, or withheld—and how it might resurface.

We explore themes of femininity, loss, grief, and renewal, politics of care, rituals, and shared knowledge – moving through the symbolic realm of goddesses,treating the Thesmophoria as a changing field, not a fixed past.
