I wanted to get in on all those fun industrial dance videos I saw people making, so a friend and I filmed our own! Dance style contains elements of industrial club dance as well as Punking- a West Coast gay culture dance genre originated in the 1970s nightclub scene and transmitted to me & many others by last living OG Punker @viktormanoel .

Do note, this is an unofficial video, but I at least got a nice blessing from the band!

Hey all! Just a reminder about the meeting on Thursday.

I am going to try to record this meeting. However, if I feel that the ideas are too in-progress or too formative, I may choose to not share this with people who didn't attend--this time around. We may need some additional time to be developmental about this. Or not.

To be clear, the presentation isn't going to be a pitch for a specific product or anything like that, just a presentation about some of the prominent issues the community is facing.

In all honesty I was hesitant about dropping that much money to go see an artist whose voice I feel sounds very samesies on recordings. But Florence is an artist who's actually more enjoyable live than recorded. At the beginning here are a few glitches I did of the third photo.

I know I have some friends who are absolutely wild about her music, but I feel like I'm just not that flavor of a girl, gay or they witch. I often prefer to spend my resources mostly seeing harder bands in concert. But seeing her live definitely moved her from "enjoyable sad girl music" to one of the better live shows I've seen. Glad I got to have the experience and grateful to @rust_maccarthy
for talking me into it.

I do have a complicated swirl of feelings re: the people who go to live music events these days. It feels like to me humans moved from being connected with fellow community members and their immediate needs to preferring to interact parasocially with artists they've never actually hung out with as people. It feels like a very grabby energy at concerts nowadays and I'm not sure that much has changed since years ago, but I think if I were a famous artist, I wouldn't want that kind of responsibility. I'm glad the art I make is kind of cold and disconnected and distorted. I dunno. I don't know how famous people handle feeling accountable to that many other humans.
