It with deep gratitude that we announce the retirement of Laura Spagnuolo—the stylist, friend, and business partner that started it all.

In 1997, Laura opened the doors at 265 N. Old Woodward alongside her partner, Rino. The salon was then known as Figaro, and together they shared a dream to reinvent the hair salon experience and build what would eventually become Figo.

Although Rino and Kristina took over as owners in 2004, Laura continued her career behind the chair at Figo, where she played an essential role for decades—mentoring and shaping the next generation of stylists, caring for her clients, and leaving a lasting impact on the Figo culture for years to come.

We are eternally grateful for Laura’s many years of dedication, passion, and artistry and wish her the absolute best in her well-deserved retirement.
