Deborah Heart and Lung Center is proud to be named among the top 15 percent of hospitals nationwide for patient experience in Healthgrades’ 2026 report, earning repeat recognition for its commitment to high‑quality cardiovascular care.

Today, we’re celebrating 104 years of Deborah’s lifesaving care. In a year marking 250 years of American independence, we’ve set a symbolic goal for Deborah’s Day of Giving: raising $250,000 to support our mission of providing lifesaving heart and lung care.

Thanks to the generosity of donor and philanthropist Evan Quarton, every gift today will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $25,000.

Congratulations to Pedram Kazemian, MD, Raffaele Corbisiero, MD, and the Electrophysiology team, who completed their first case using the Stereotaxis Magic Interventional Ablation Catheter — the first magnetically driven, gold‑tipped catheter of its kind on the East Coast. Designed for complex electrophysiology procedures, the technology offers enhanced steerability and supports improved patient outcomes.

We’re proud to share that our structural heart team is the first in the region to perform a commercial case using the Edwards Lifesciences SAPIEN M3 system for transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR). This minimally invasive therapy offers a new option for patients with severe mitral valve symptoms, expanding the advanced care we can provide in our community. Congratulations to interventional cardiologist Muhammad Raza, MD, and the Structural Heart Program team on this achievement.

A heartfelt thank you to The Burlington Entertainers for their generous donation of $16,057 to Deborah Heart and Lung Center from this year’s annual fundraiser!

Their 2026 show, “The Great American Song Book,” was truly unforgettable—filled with energy, talent, and timeless classics. We are grateful for this amazing group’s continued dedication, having helped raise more than $244,000 to date in support of our life-saving mission.

We were pleased to welcome Congressman Herb Conaway to Deborah Heart and Lung Center as he toured the campus and presented federal funding supporting the hospital’s new hemodynamic monitoring systems.

During the visit, the congressman met with team members and hospital leadership and presented a ceremonial check for $847,000, recognizing the federal investment. The funding will strengthen Deborah’s ability to continue delivering high‑quality care to our community.
