My new album is OUT TODAY! Nothing I write here can express the nearly 3 years of energy that went into making these songs, but hopefully the album will speak for itself.

I did the best I could, to create the most authentic reflection of my inner world - and I hope that in doing so, some others may feel less like an island - in the way others’ music can do for me.

Daudi and I had regular calls throughout the last year, helping each other navigate the strange, wobbly, often lonely world of being a solo musician. He is my friend and I love him lots.

Pelos laços íntimos da folk e o detalhe das texturas ambientais, o britânico Will Samson tem reivindicado um território estético e sonoro muito próprio. Com um histórico de edições aclamadas no universo da folk — começando pelo seminal ‘Balance’ (2012) —, e expandindo-se por trabalhos carimbados por selos de culto como a Wichita Recordings ou a 12k, o seu percurso soma passagens por festivais de referência como o Rewire e o Le Guess Who?, e digressões ao lado de nomes como Kurt Vile, Efterklang ou Ólafur Arnalds.

Antecipado pelo single ‘Signs of Life’, o novo álbum ‘Sings Again’ tem edição marcada para 22 de maio e passa por Braga num concerto de formato único e imersivo, onde as novas canções de Samson ganham corpo sob um ecossistema visual concebido e operado pelos estudantes do Mestrado em Media Arts da Universidade do Minho.

Sampling is the best. There was a piece of bamboo left over from building a climber for the cucumber plant, which sounds a bit like an original Mellotron with the added tape delay.

Sampling objects around the garden (plus a bit of tape magic) became the backbone of this new album 💿

Here is a very raw, live version of a new song called 'A Spell', recorded during rehearsal today. 'Sings Again' is out in just one week!

This room is where I recorded most of the album, with the olive tree outside keeping me company. You can come here and make an album too, if you like ❤️
