BREAKING: Ireland head coach Andy Farrell has signed a new contract with the IRFU until 2031. ✅

Farrell's previous deal, agreed in December 2023, was due to run until after the 2027 Rugby World Cup, but that is now extended by four years until the 2031 tournament.

In recent months, Farrell has been linked to both the England job and a possible return to Saracens, but he nearly guided Ireland to what had appeared an unlikely Six Nations in the spring and he has now committed his future to Ireland.

James Lowe, what an incredible servant and legend he has been for Irish rugby. ☘️👏

Last night, he became Leinster’s all-time leading try scorer and also reached 100 appearances for the province. 71 tries in 100 games. An unbelievable record.

Reports suggest the winger is set to leave Leinster and Irish rugby, and if he does, he’ll be a massive loss. Thanks for everything, James. 👏

BREAKING: James Lowe is set to leave Leinster at the end of the season. ☘❌

It means Lowe is also set to be ruled out of contention for Ireland at the 2027 World Cup. It’s not yet known where Lowe will be playing next season, but he has attracted interest from England, France and Japan.

Lowe is extremely disappointed about the process that has led to his departure, as well as the offer that was put in front of him for a one-year extension. 😢

Leinster have lost yet another European final, their fifth final defeat in a row. Bordeaux never gave Leinster a chance to settle, keeping them at arm’s length throughout before cruising to victory.

They take down Ulster 54-26 in Bilbao after a huge performance from the quality French side.

Ulster gave it everything, and it was a massive achievement for the Irish province to even make it to the final, but Montpellier had too much in the end and strolled to victory.

He has won the Irish Rugby Players’ Player of the Year award after an incredible season for both Ireland and Ulster.

Twenty years ago today, Munster finally won the Heineken Cup, led by the late and great Anthony Foley! The game ended 23-19 with two great tries and 13 superb points kicked from legend Ronan O'Gara. This win sent Ireland and Munster into bedlam.

After promising to get the tattoo if Ireland won the Six Nations, he never expected to actually follow through with it, until Johnny Sexton made sure he did.

When Hansen eventually told Farrell, the Ireland coach let him sweat for two hours, leaving him convinced his international career was over. 🤣
