We are pleased to announce the representation of artist: Tyler Cala Williams
Tyler Cala Williams (b. Trenton, New Jersey) is an American artist based between New York and Savannah. A graduate of Parsons, The New School (BFA Photography, 2020), Williams creates surreal self-portraiture and imagery charged by their community and culture, through using digital software like Photoshop to address appropriation in Western traditional art movements and the nuances of the subjugated Black.
Williams describes their practice as a process of remembering: memories that, like photographs, are both truth and construction. In their words, “I believe the surreal scenes I create are like the act of remembering. It looks far removed from reality because memories are never really fully truths. I believe memories are tricky and are like photos in their reliability. They are both representations of something. So for me, the dreamlike quality of my work is from my memories taking new forms.”
More information about Tyler and the possibility of acquiring their work will soon be available on our website.

AMBUSH—
I’m finally announcing my debut album! It feels like a relief! It feels joyous! This album is 10 years in the making and it’s everything I want it to be. I got so many friends on it and this cover is phenomenal. So where are all of these thoughts about me not taking advantage of the algorithm by posting 20 pictures coming from?
We’re constantly bombarded with images and words that make us sad or angry, and being forced to take and post pictures of us yelling through tears for a profit. How do we turn it off without ignoring one another? How do we play our own game for our own benefit without putting up walls and taking advantage of another?
I wrote this album about how to feel a full range of emotions and fall in love during a slow moving apocalypse. I don’t think falling in love with ourselves and each other is a rational reaction to the world melting around us, but it’s what I’m choosing to do. Let this album be my little delusion, and come see me for a hug.
