I am becoming more and more fascinated by butterflies and insects in general. Now I am trying different options for shooting them both whole-body and macro. I also try to look for emotions in this genre which is more difficult than in bird photography. But all these are pleasant challenges thanks to which I feel my development and fill my hobby with new interest. Special thanks to @myrental.by for existing and giving me the opportunity to try different things. Yesterday I took the RF 100mm F2.8 L to compare its functionality with the RF 100-400 + extension tubes. As a result I decided that I really need to buy this gorgeous lens.

2026 год усё больш уражвае сустрэчамі ў прыродзе. Я паглядзеў вельмі рэдкую для Беларусі птушку, якая даўно была ў маім спісе самых жаданых відаў.
Ногі ў хадулачніка даўжэйшыя за яго цела, таму вы амаль ні з кім не паблытаеце гэтую ўнікальную птшуку. Такія прапорцыі дазваляюць яму шукаць ежу нават у глыбокіх затоках.
Дарэчы, упершыню хадулачнік быў адзначаны у Беларусі толькі ў 1994 годзе.
Наздымаў шмат, таму хутка пакажу больш фота, а пакуль вось такі цізер вам.

2026 is more and more impressive with encounters in nature so far. I just have seen a very rare bird for Belarus which has been on my list of the most desirable species for years.
The legs of the Black-winged Stilt are longer than its body so you will hardly confuse this unique bird with any else. Such proportions allow it to search for food even in deep mud and swamps.
By the way in Belarus Black-winged Stilt was first sighted only in 1994.
I made a lot of shots so I will show you more soon but for now here is a little teaser for you.

У мінулым годзе вялікі грыцук стаў маім лайферам. Так супала, што менавіта ў 2025 ён быў птушкай года Беларусі. І як жа цікава бывае, што як толькі ты пазначаеш лайфера, у наступны сезон ты пачынаеш бачыць яго адаўсюль. Last year a Black-tailed Godwit was my lifer. It just so happened that in 2025 it also was the bird of the year in Belarus. And I find it funny that once you mark a lifer the next season you start seeing it everywhere. This year I have counted so many of these endangered birds that it looks like they come out specifically for me to make pictures of them.
