Basic materials - lole, cellophane, ribbons, hot glue & fishing line will be provided and you are welcome to bring whatever you're working on!

Maile Chand has roots in Hawaiʻi and Fiji, andTrinidad & Tobago. She’s a birthworker, community researcher, mentor, and mama who creates empowering spaces for Pacific Islander girls to feel seen, heard, and confident. With a background in Women and Gender Studies and Pacific Islander & Oceania Studies, she’s passionate about identity, culture, body knowledge, and stepping into your power. As an aspiring midwife, she’s committed to helping the next generation of Teine walk boldly in their mana. 🌺✨

Fatima supports families with birth and postpartum planning, breastfeeding education, reproductive health guidance, mentoring new doulas, and developing equity-centered maternal and reporductive health programs.
Inspired by her journey with M.A.N.A. Pasefika as a mother and a doula, she works to restore ancestral wisdom, normalize prenatal lactation education, and remind our communities that nourishing our babies is powerful and that no one should have to do it alone!”
