His experience extends to acclaimed kitchens such as @1789restaurant in Washington D.C., @ristorantevillamaiella in Guardiagrele, Italy and at the (now closed) four-star, five-diamond @everest_chicago in Chicago.

🥩 Chef Anthony brings the skillful technique of being able to buy and incorporate whole humanely raised animals to his menu, a skill he acquired while working as a butcher in Italy. His experience at the butcher and salami shop in the town of Bra, in the region of Piedmonte, is where he learned to deftly break down animals.

😷 In 2019, Chef Anthony partnered with Desiré Vincent Levy to create Detroit Kitchen Terminal, a nonprofit community kitchen that provided culinary training to the formerly incarcerated. During the pandemic, Detroit Kitchen Terminal provided over $40,000 to restaurant workers in the city who were experiencing hardship.

This is a recap video of our 2024 Iron Chef Detroit fundraiser at @easternmarket. The event was hosted by Jay Towers & Alan Longstreet from @fox2detroit, with commentary from TV host, influencer and entrepreneur Carlos Parisi. The culinary competition featured a matchup between @shewolfdetroit executive chef Anthony Lombardo and @makefooddetroit culinary director Shanel DeWalt.

The winner was decided by a panel of expert judges including chef-owner of the @beardfoundation nominated @saffrondetwah Omar Anani, James Beard Award-winning filmmaker and former restaurant critic Mark Kurlyandchik, Detroit News restaurant critic Melody Baetens, and Detroit Free Press dining and restaurant critic Lyndsay C. Green. Each round also included a fifth guest judge who was selected from the Iron Chef Detroit audience!

After revealing @faygo as the SECRET INGREDIENT (that must be used by the chefs in each dish) the two chefs faced off, with chef Anthony Lombardo being declared the inaugural Iron Chef Detroit champion after winning two of the three closely contested rounds. In addition to the competition, Iron Chef Detroit guests also enjoyed food and beverage tastings from over 20 restaurants in metro Detroit, including the home of our inaugural champ, @shewolfdetroit.
