New release announcement: MARK TRECKA

Propelled by mangled breakbeats, cassette cut up experiments, and Mark Trecka’s crooning howl, “Romance Wake Naming” draws from the experimental and even hip-hop roots of industrial music to contextualize a kind of dark avant art pop.

The first single “Wake Dance Romance,” is produced and mixed by legendary industrial figure Paul Barker who also added synth performance and drum programming. Barker’s iconic work with Ministry, Revolting Cocks, and other Wax Trax! luminaries helped to define the sound of American post-punk and industrial music, and he continues to break new ground with his project Lead Into Gold and this new collaborative relationship with Mark Trecka.

Romance Wake Naming is available via The Garrote on cassette / digital, and will be released on 5.29.26. Preorders are open. Listen to “Wake Dance Romance” now.
