Kemuri Hi-Fi reflects the lifelong passions of its founders, New Zealand bartending champion Jason Clark and promoter and record collector Vishal Vasan, aka
DJ Vee. It will be centered on two unique and extensive personal collections: JC’s stock of fine whisky and Vee’s vinyl.

“Good music and delicious drinks are the key elements to a great bar experience,” says Vee. “Our collections are a slice of our personal journeys through hospitality and entertainment and we look forward to sharing these
with our guests in this amazing new space.”

“We want guests to enjoy quality drinks,” says JC. “Kemuri Hi-Fi is all about the appreciation of amazing flavours. We want to make an incredible space that gives all guests something to be part of and excited about.”

Equal parts hidden sanctum and intimate social hub, Kemuri Hi-Fi offers an escape from crowds and the CBD hustle to a lovingly curated cultural space.

This Saturday night sees the launch of Kemuri Hi-Fi’s “LONG PLAY” - a night dedicated to ONE influential DJ - all vinyl, all night long!

For our very first “LONG PLAY” we welcome one of the country’s very best - Bevan Keys. The Nice half of the legendary “Nice ‘n’ Urlich”. Bevan will be playing a selection of music that has influenced his 35 year DJ career.

Self described “biggest Miles Davis fan in NZ” musician Nathan Haines celebrates the 100th birthday of Miles Davis this May, perhaps one of musics most celebrated and influential figures ever.

“Since I was about 10 years old, everything Miles Davis has been at the centre of my musicality” says Nathan.

Nathan will play excerpts from his favourites and do a little talking around each record (7pm - 8pm) - and for the audiophiles these are all original US pressing editions and Nathan will be supplying a super high end cartridge for your listening pleasure.
