“吃书妄想”便由此展开，去品尝伍尔夫《到灯塔去》里“带着永恒色彩”的南法红酒炖牛肉，去回味《霍乱时期的爱情》里将茄子比作婚姻得失的隐喻，去共情《正常人》中玛丽安面对空虚时幻想用柠檬豆蔻卷让时间停滞。继续往前走，我们则被更虚幻的文字吸引——那是卡尔维诺笔下悬浮的绿色城市，是阿多尼斯清冷的孤独花园，是托卡尔丘克书中穿梭于幻境与历史的蘑菇派。 而终章则留给《月亮与六便士》结尾，那一幅热带水果静物画被我们变成一盘承载着酸甜咸辣的冰淇淋碗，将整趟旅程献给书的感性之美。
