Lucked out this night as a pair of SEOs came out to hunt earlier than they had been the previous few days. One went down quickly while the other stuck around to let @cj.hemphill and I track him against the setting sun. Wish he got a bit closer!

Been out to film mr popular a few nights now, but he’s sticking close to home these days. Only flying out well after the sun sets. Looking forward to things ramping up in the coming months as mating season starts.

Wrapped up 2025 underwater filming Tigers and trying out the new @nikonusa ZR, and it did not disappoint. Loved the dimension that comes with the higher resolutions for filming wildlife. The new @ikelite housing is also 😮💨🤌🏼. This dive in particular has stuck with me, as the sunset brought the perfect light to set up and watch them cruise in and out of the reef. It’s incredible to share space with these animals and, over the course of a few days, learn more about how they interact with their surroundings.
Nothing strange about this crown jelly (Nausithoe picta) during some blackwater filming in Yap. These jellies are so fast (slowed down footage) and small, making it tough to frame and keep focus. Happy I managed to grab a few clips, so cool to see how their body works to propel them through the water.
