From @chrissalisonhuff and @fczuke comes “Toiler’s Dirge!” In talking about the film they had this to say: “This project was a collaboration between two artists who are very interesting in site-specificity. We found this project to be cathartic through our investigation of unseen labor within our immediate environment.”
C. A. Huff’s work spans documentary and experimental film and explores counterculture in the South. F. C. Zuke creates audiovisual and interactive art installations that examine systematic belief. Both artists live in Oxford, Mississippi and are faculty members at the University of Mississippi.

My solo show, We Will Keep Infecting These Machines, is up for the next two weeks at the Bingham Gallery in Columbia, Missouri.
This exhibition draws on Donna Haraway’s concept of the “Chthulucene,” a framework where human and non-humans exist in entangled states. We Will Keep Infecting These Machines explores systematic influences on human society but also serves as a call to action for us to remain active and thoughtfully engaged, resisting the temptation to become cynical in a world plagued with challenges that seem unsurmountable. By remaining entangled with (yet critical of) new technologies and networks, perhaps we can infect our values into systems that are cold, anti-human, destructive, and directly opposed to our wellbeing. Viewers are invited to explore audiovisual, sculptural, and interactive works that explore a variety of subjects important in current discourse: telecommunication monopolies, invisible labor, housing crises, historical forgetfulness, and prescribed standards of human intelligence. These projects pose questions concerning the relationship of the 21st-century human to the radio, the insect, the landlord, the cinema, and to one another.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: F. C. Zuke @fczuke / USA
In Always so Artificial, F. C. Zuke begins with a quiet photograph of an electrical pole outside their childhood bedroom. Using AI to extend the frame with the prompt “there’s nothing else out there,” the image becomes a vast, constructed landscape—serene, surreal, and subtly uncanny. Clues of its artificiality remain, inviting reflection on memory, absence, and illusion.
Now on view in HOLOGRAPHIC SELVES, an exhibition exploring how AI unsettles identity, part of @thewrong.biennale

A highlight of my year was presenting my work at the 10th annual SOUND/IMAGE Festival at the University of Greenwich and meeting so many thoughtful composers, artists, and researchers. Thanks so much to the incredible efforts of @andrewknighthill and his colleagues at @soundimage_research for planning such an awesome gathering!
