We're excited to have Rakali at the Bowery Theatre next month!

Rakali is contemporary Australian Gothic fable about a young couple moving from suburban Melbourne to a remote Tasmanian houseboat with their newborn. But life on the river is less than idyllic, as isolation strains their relationship. Then Rocko arrives. The couple are enchanted by this charismatic neighbour. But Rocko is a shapeshifting water rat intent on stealing and eating their baby.

Calling all up-and-coming musicians and performers! You could be playing your original music in the new line-up of the Resonate Youth Acoustic Showcase at Be Bold Festival 2026.

Resonate /ˈrɛz(ə)neɪt/ verb / produce or be filled with a deep, full, reverberating sound.

The Showcase is a curated concert of young acoustic musicians and singer-songwriters (aged 12-25) who live, work or play in the City of Brimbank. If your music brings chill vibes, please complete the application form in our link in bio to submit!

Selected artists will be paid $300 to perform a live set of original songs at Creative Brimbank's annual Be Bold Festival on Saturday 3rd October 2026.
