Creating handmade memorial heirlooms is a way to honor a loved one’s life and create something deeply meaningful. 🤍

For this memorial commission, a small portion of the loved one’s ashes was carefully incorporated into both the clay and the glaze.

My friend, who had lost her sister, joined me in the studio to shape small dishes for family members while I threw flower vases. Each piece holds a tangible connection to the person they loved—a beautiful reminder that memories can live on beyond photographs and stories.

It was a true privilege to guide this process from start to finish, helping create pieces that will be treasured in homes and woven into daily rituals for years to come.
