today is my birthday, and I haven’t liked my birthday for several years now, until this morning. I’m truly grateful to be alive right now, after battling a lethal skin condition, depression, growing pains, loss of friends, family and more, I can confidently and proudly say that I am still here. I am in control of my narrative and I’m seizing it from here forward.
I’m 21. I lost people before they could make it to 21. I am grateful and using every opportunity I have from here on.

my reprise of the iconic @rapsody ‘s “Jesus Coming” from her 2018 album “Laila’s Wisdom”. I did my best to be faithful to @9thwonder ‘s flip of Otis G Jackson’s “Time to Go Home” .

I’m gonna start rolling out my album now, including the things that didn’t make the cut like this one.
The album was, at a time, going to be full of samples from songs off albums that inspired me, but I chose yo build from that idea in favor of wanting to be innovative.
