„IKYA is the collaborative project of m preis and Krohm. Their work moves through layered soundscapes built from synths, field recordings, and processed strings, exploring themes such as the subconscious, the gap between trauma and relief, the bridge between eroticism and the uncanny. The duo’s aesthetic draws from both prehistoric and dystopian imagery, with references to paganism, industrial decay, and subliminal spaces and audio diaries. IKYA’s compositions often inhabit the tension between attraction and discomfort, creating atmospheres that feel both intimate and distant, evoking something ancient, unstable, or just out of reach.“
