A milestone years in the making. We launched Essential Postnatal in 2020 with the aim of setting a new standard in postpartum care and nutritional support, but that was only the beginning.

In partnership with Brooklyn College, Cornell University, and Maimonides Medical Center, we conducted a 10-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 64 breastfeeding women, evaluating the effects of Essential Postnatal on key biomarkers of maternal nutrient status and breast milk composition.

For over a decade, Ritual has been working to raise standards in supplements through clinical research and ingredient traceability. And this year, we’re taking you along, in our 4-part series about the many ways “WE’RE EXPECTING” higher standards.

Such an AMAZING and unforgettable day on The Hill with @ritual! We came together to advocate for higher standards in the supplement industry, because women deserve better.

Women are some of the most consistent users of vitamins and supplements, so we deserve the most updated research on what ingredients and dosages are actually safe and efficacious, especially during vulnerable life stages like pregnancy.

We also advocated for increased funding to support more clinical research on women. For too long, we have been underrepresented in clinical trials and it’s time we expect better!

We’re done asking - we’re EXPECTING more.
