In our awarded design for the Rákosrendező Projekt site in Budapest, we explored how densification and greening can reinforce one another through spatial tools that contribute to the city of tomorrow.

We are proud to announce that VOIDS has been selected by @purpose_re for the redevelopment of the former Carolus Monastery in ’s-Hertogenbosch.

At this special location, with a rich history of care, tranquility, and community, we are working on a new narrative that accommodates the challenges of tomorrow.

VOIDS moves into the Groothandelsgebouw.
VOIDS is getting a new home base. As of April 28, we will be working from the Groothandelsgebouw, right next to Rotterdam Central Station. A place full of dynamism and urban energy — exactly where we want to be.

VOIDS wins Special Award in Budapest!

As part of the international design competition for the Rákosrendező site, VOIDS together with Idefix Landscape Architecture en 4Plusz developed a master plan — and successfully so. We won the Special Purchase Award! We are incredibly proud of this recognition from the jury and the platform we were given. We see this award as a strong motivation for a new story of the city of tomorrow.

Something is about to happen. Behind the scenes, we are working on a renewed story for VOIDS. With the same care and energy we put into our projects, we are building a new website and a clear direction for the years ahead.

VOIDS DESIGNS ‘FRONT YARD’ FOR TOWN HALL & DE WINGERD TWELLO

Last week, we presented the plan for primary school De Wingerd and the surrounding area of the Twello town hall. The turnout was high, and the engagement of local residents, parents, teachers, and other interested parties was equally strong.

With this plan, the area will be transformed into Twello’s a future proof place. We focus on creating a green village square as the heart of the area, a safe connection for pedestrians and cyclists to the town center, the redevelopment of the school, a multifunctional building with community facilities and apartments, and a parking garage serving all functions.

Together, we are building a pleasant, strong, recognizable, and future-proof “front yard” that connects the village with the surrounding landscape.

BIG NEWS!

We’re proud to share that VOIDS, together with Idefix and @4plusz, has been selected for the final round of the competition for the Rákosrendezö Masterplan in Budapest.

Rákosrendezö is one of Budapest’s most promising brownfield development sites covering 149 hectares with space for up to 10.000 new homes and a mix of urban functions that can shape the future of the city in a green and inclusive way.

We’re looking forward working on our proposal in the next months.
