Plot twist: I started running… voluntarily. 🏃‍♂️

This morning I somehow managed 15K without needing a rescue helicopter, which means the ridiculous challenge is officially getting real: 50K for £50 pledged by the legend Steven Piñeiro 🇵🇷

Now, for context, Steven casually came 6th in Olympic skateboarding park while I currently run like a shopping trolley with one dodgy wheel. But he’s an absolute hero, hilarious human, and always looking out for Tay ❤️

Huge thanks to Jack Sandham (Olympic physio wizard 🪄) for trying to rebuild my legs after today’s run. The acupuncture felt less like “recovery” and more like being attacked by an angry sewing kit… but honestly, my leg already feels loads better.

50K still sounds completely unhinged, but we move.

If you’d like to support the madness, laugh at my suffering, or help me crawl over the finish line, hit the GoFundMe link in bio 🙌

🚨 SHOUTOUT TO THE REAL MVPs 🚨

The greatest parents at TSC Kids Football have officially pledged for the 50k run 🏃‍♂️💨 raising money for the ramp and helping Tay on the road to Olympic qualification 🇬🇧🥇

Let me tell you… these are not just football parents. These are the same legends who took our kids to Millwall, watched them WIN 3 1 👀⚽ and somehow got us all out alive and quiet without a single bit of drama 😂👏 if you know you know

But honestly beyond the pledges the laughs and the chaos… these Monday nights have basically turned into group therapy sessions. Cheaper than a therapist louder than a stadium and somehow twice as effective 🤣

Absolute gentlemen. Proper community.

Now let’s turn the support into ACTION 💥
If you can donate share or even just cheer us on it all counts. Let’s get this ramp built and help push Tay one step closer to the Olympics 🙌

Well… turns out my body briefly forgot I’m an elite athlete and tried to retire me early. Rude. Anyway, I’m back training for the 50k I somehow agreed to with Neil Mo Farah Brown, which feels like a life choice I should probably unpack at some point.

Good news is I’m running again. Bad news is I will now be talking about it constantly. You’re welcome.

Even better news… the ramp is officially in planning with Thanet District Council, so clearly we are now best friends and will be exchanging Christmas cards.

All of this is for one very important mission. Helping Tay get to the Olympics. No pressure Tay, just an entire community emotionally invested and me doing long runs I complain about.

If you can chuck a few quid into the GoFundMe it would mean a lot. Link is in the bio. If not, a like, share or mild encouragement also counts as cardio support.

Right, I’m off to run and question my decisions again.

This just popped up on my feed. An old photo I took of Siggsy. I have known this lunatic since we’re were at primary school. This was shot ages ago and Giles Toller photoshopped it. Whatever Siggsy is up to I hope he’s doing good 😊

Dig out your dusty photo albums… we KNOW they’re in there somewhere 👀🛹

We’re putting together a book on Thanet skateboarding from the 70s to 2000 — and we want the good stuff:
📍 Hartsdown ramps
📍 Tivoli chaos
📍 REV days in the 90s
📍 Road trips to Rom, Stevenage, Southbank (and probably getting lost on the way)

If you’ve got blurry kickflips, questionable outfits, or that one mate who swore he’d go pro… we need it 😄

We’ll scan your photos and return them safely — no dodgy “lost forever” situations, promise.

Help us tell the story before it disappears into a shoebox forever 🙌

DM us or shout below 👇

💙 Caught up with our old shipmate Mary Ellen at Bluewater the other day! Always a laugh with her — one of the real ones. We swapped stories about our kids and life in Canada, and it felt like no time had passed at all.

Even better? She’s pledged $50 for me to run 50k! 🏃‍♂️💪 Feeling inspired to get moving and make it count.

Want to help too? Check out my GoFundMe in the bio! Every bit counts. 🙌
