Banjo Dave is a Belfast-based but Derby-born musician who specialises (unsurprisingly) on the 5-string banjo. Dave was converted from the guitar to the banjo in 2007 and since then he’s made it his specialization.

To get that blusey, old-time sound, Dave plays two banjos which are over 100 years old. He plays a mix of traditional Appalachian music, original interpretations of old-style tunes and even classical.

Dave can often be found performing at sessions, gigs and open mic nights in Belfast.
