2026 Mammoth was our third mammoth sniper challenge. This has consistently been one of our favorite matches. The stages tend to be well thought out. The ROs tend to be motivating. The competitors are side by side physically outputting to their own exhaustion and enduring a situation that we can all share for years to come.

While we have never been in it for the prize table, this event knows how to handle a prize table! Saturday night right as I fell asleep my teammate woke me up to tell me we were in second place. I told him it didn’t really matter because we were probably not going to live through the storm that was pounding down on us.

For the first two days we stayed focused and shot well. The third day, well, we got “mammothed”. I couldn’t hit a pistol target to save my life. My partner somehow got his turret a full revolution out of whack. We went from 2nd to 6th in those short 4 stages. It’s what makes mammoth mammoth and I wouldn’t change a thing about it.

What a fun cartridge to shoot. The @unknownsuppressors Reaper has such an awesome mellow tone. I went ahead and zeroed with @hsm_ammo 55gr Vmax ammo and after about 20 rounds and some cleanings my groups started tightening up to about 1/2 MOA. Checking cant quickly on the RPM scope rings is a must. I will be excited to see how the HSM loaded 88gr ELDMs run here soon🏔️
