I always remembered the room would stop when you’d walk into our classes at the Kennedy’s. It was always an honor to be in your presence.
I was lucky to have studied with you privately at 16 years old when I needed training.. you wouldn’t teach me tap- you said “you know how to tap. I need to teach you about show business”. Thank you for those serious conversations and for making me do running falaps for 15minutes straight just to test my will power lol.
You would call me often. You’d call my dad often- just to check in. Thank you for caring about me- not just as a tap dancer- but like a granddaughter. You have given me such rich advice on how to live my life. I will cherish your guidance forever.
I love you, Mr. C. May you rest in peace. We will continue to speak your name, study your brilliance and care for your legacy ❤️
