Just a week ago today, I felt the absolute joy and incredible power of what's possible when music and community come together for the benefit of itself and others. Here's a little teaser for the first of many in my new evolution of top-floor based music events, the first ever:

Thank you all for keeping up with these incredible Live! From the Rooftop I concert videos. Here's the last video, our finale song covering quite possibly my favorite song ever, "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by @tearsforfearsmusic

Thank you so very much to all of the incredible musicians who trusted me, learned their parts, and absolutely nailed this performance. I'm in awe of all of you and you truly made my day by playing this with me!

This song is so poignant, more now than ever before. But don't struggle to rule the world. Instead, find your place in it and help make it the best home we could ever have.

The last set to feature is mine, your very own SIrSixString. I didn't aim to save the best for last, but instead I wanted to keep the spirit of the From the Rooftop series, showing off all the other incredible talent that performed at this wonderful event.

In this song, "I am a Human", I really wanted to show from an outside perspective, outside this body, how difficult, confusing, fun, sad, and crazy it is to be a human. All the rules of being in a human body, living in human society, and more. It's something I find myself struggling with a bit these days as I believe there is SO MUCH more out there than what we've got around us. And yet, it's still an enjoyable time with so many wonderful people in my life.

My next feature is one hell of a cool band called @m.t.n.e.s.s ! Consisting of 3 marvelous musicians @erin.yoffee, Dylan aka @utterlyludicrous, and @brian__dorsey, this group brings back the psychedelic-rock vibes of the 60s/70s that is sorely missed by many. Listen to this and tell me they don't remind you of Jefferson Airplane!

This song, "Seasons Tell" is one that revolves around nature's way of showing and telling time, keeping us humble all throughout the always moving journey.

My next feature is the ever talented and always engaging @justinseagrave with his unique set at Live! From the Rooftop I, featuring the immensely skilled and infinitely fun @florest_luis on percussion.

This song, titled "Waterfall", is an endlessly captivating journey that rides over cascading notes through themes and thoughts of love, life, and that never ending journey to follow the light we're always looking for.

My next Live! From the Rooftop I feature is California's own, @jay_theowl ! I've known Jay for some time now, having played bass in his cool little outlaw 4 piece and also having him as one of my featured guests from last year's Rooftop videos. Here he is singing an original tune called "Fuckboy Song" which involves writing a song about a former friend who 100% held the title of fuckboy. Jay always brings his authentic lyrics, descriptive images, and raucously fun stories to life through each note, chord, and cadence.

Asa Anderson is a Los Angeles based musician who moves smoothly within the musical realms of Soul, Pop, and Folk. This is but a taste of his original song, "The Chain", where he sings about seemingly small, inconsequential events in life that can grow and build into something much more monumental.
