A little letter from me…

Up until a couple weeks ago, this date never meant anything to me. If I didn’t check, today would’ve been a normal Thursday. But I decided to see exactly when my first show I ever shot was.

November 7th 2017 was my very first time shooting a show. Bayside at the Observatory OC, shooting for the opener. I was 19 and thought this would just be a one off kind of thing sparked what I hope will now be a lifelong career. I was so nervous I felt my legs shaking. But after that forest show, I decided to try it again. And a month later I got to shoot some local bands at HOB Voodoo Room. It wouldn’t be until a few months later where everything would change.

The opportunity to shoot for the radio station I was working for came up and I took it and ran. After that I was shooting 5 times a week at my busiest times and it sparked what I knew I would want to do for a long while. Fast forward to now and I’m so thrilled with where I am and where I’m going.

From leading a photo team for a festival, traveling to some of the most beautiful venues in the world, and meeting so many incredible people and making the friends that I have along the way.

All I have to say for myself is I’m so proud. I’m so thankful. I’m so happy that I get to do what I do because it is such a privilege to be let into this little world.

If you ever doubt that you can’t. Keep going. There have been plenty of times where I thought it wasn’t worth it or I wasn’t good enough. It’s so worth it. 7 years of hard hard work and it’s so worth every minute of editing, every minute of shooting, the all nighters, seeing the sunrise after a show.

If you love it, do it. There’s always a way.

I love each and every person I get to call my friend that I’ve met through concert photography. They’re some of my best friends and it makes me even happier to watch those friends grow and succeed in this space.

Thanks for being apart of my journey 🫰🏻
